Yes, it's looking very nice. I've still got some bright red fall foliage and looks pretty against the white snow.

I've got the snow blowers tuned up and ready and, thank goodness, the sprinkler guy got all the sprinklers blown out, even though he was finishing his route by headlight.

Studs are on the cars, so bring it on.

In North Idaho, your kids must have Halloween costumes than fit over snow suits.

Got about 2" now and still coming down. Might get up to 10" or so by tomorrow.

It soothes my weary soul to see the snow! Thank you, OAR!

Good day to stay home if possible. Too many accidents on the roads to count.

Was walking at Higgens Point and let the dogs off the leash at the normal place so that we could walk on the shore-side trail from the launch ramp to the far end. I guess they did not like the snow because they took off like a banshee, climbed the hill, and straight to the car. I tripped climbing over the railing and skinned up my knee. No more 'off leash' for them, for a long while.

This snow is really heavy. Cleaned off my deck a little while ago and I could hardly lift the snow shovel.
Took one more photo just before it got dark with about 6-7" or snow now. My maple tree is bending again. It broke the top half off last year during the first snow storm. I think this stuff will eventually melt since the weather looks good after tonight. Glad I switched to winter tires on my car and truck and put chains on my tractor earlier this week.

Going to be 0F tomorrow over in the higher elevation towns of western WY and -12F tomorrow night. -7F predicted in Stanley ID tomorrow night.

Talk about going straight from summer to winter! Your tire-change timing was spot-on, OP.
