Is there a lake near Pocatello that is good for recreation?

Red face Elaboration of question

I think this was a dumb question. I figured out that American Reservoir is nearby. I looked at two different maps and one didn't show that body of water and I got confused. I found that there are 3 boat ramps near the dam, which is near American Falls. I couldn't detect any marina where you can keep your boat overboard in a slip.

In the east the water access seems a bit different. There is a lot of infrastructure both public and private; boat ramps and marinas. Am I seeing the picture clearly? Is access to public waterways less available out west; in this case Idaho waters? Hopefully this elaboration to my original question makes a bit more sense.

American Falls Reservoir is about 20 minutes from Pocatello.
From what I've seen, the BLM owns the shoreline (ie public) and has campgrounds/boat docks available. But I don't think I've ever seen a private marina where people just leave their boats. I'll check next time I drive by there & get back to you.
