Up here in the LA area we didn't even break 90 yesterday. Quite a relief!

Thanks, I try to capture the moment. Moving up to NID is only the start of a vast wonderland. Right next door in Montana is Glacier and a few other national parks. If you are a senior over 62 get a lifetime pass for $10, no joke. That pic was on the Going to the Sun road and it is quite something. I do recommend going after Labor Day so there are not as many crazy Albertan drivers! I can also say that I agree with the park rule of vehicle length of 21' max. I was technically over with my long bed crew cab but did not get called on it. There are plenty of turn outs to take pictures. They close the road at the drop of a hat so you should monitor it on the website for the park. It is gravel on the east side. Even with less people, Logan Pass was crowded. Many Glacier area was less crowded but makes for a long day to get clear over there and back assuming you stay on west side with all the towns like Whitefish and Kalispell. We had not seen much for wildlife until we came across this guy:

Default Finally, a North Idaho Front Porch of our own!

I'm happy to present: Our very own North Idaho Front Porch! The rest of the cabin is still wrapped in Tyvek, so there's not much to show you yet. But the porch is done!

Looks good, CFF. It seems to me that the porch is the most important part of a home. It's the place where a guy can sit and remember how things were awful before the porch.

Yeah, it looks real good....I'm sure you're going to like it.
