Cold front BLEW through yesterday...37 degrees this morning. I far prefer chilly to hot...I think I'm in the right place.

Default hi everyone!

I'm dying of jelousy right now! My wife and her sister are spending a few weeks in our retirement home in NID and I'm stuck down here working. She tells me the weather is great ( a little warm ) and they "wish I was there")
I'm coming up in October no matter what, hope the weather is still decent.
2 more years and I'll retire and join all of you lucky folks.

Steve

OH Misty I also prefer cooler to hot. We are nice and cool here even windy today. Loving it.

Well the day has come. It is official we have lived in Idaho 24 years. Just about this time at night we arrived in Clayton after a 25 hour trip. We threw up a quick fence for the horse and mules fed and watered them and went to sleep in a camper that had been delivered to us on the side of the road by friends. We had brought it up to Stanley on an earlier trip.

Some times I still have to pinch myself to believe we are here and do not have to go back. Idaho is home.

Chris

Thanks Alwayslooking. I still am amazed the time has gone by so fast. Until I look in the mirror.

The day is lovely here again. 74 degrees on the porch light breeze. Could not ask for a nicer day. In on a late lunch break and heading back out shortly to enjoy the yard.

aw man... my last visit was '08. Sadly, it was for a funeral, but a LOT of family came in, and I think we spent 90% of our time doing exactly that...

just enjoying the yard.

I've tried doing that on fort bliss, fort sill, and overseas, but it seems like Idaho is the only place where it actually works properly

Trace, sent you a DM!

Chris, congrats on the anniversary! Scary how time flies. But the main point is that you've spent those years in the right place!

Steve and Aelwero, every time I think ID is too far away, I recite a litany of all our members who made it to Idaho within the past few years! It makes a great mantra!

Hopefully I'll be back in NID very soon...

Hang in there Aelwero and CF and others still in waiting. It took me 16 years to get out of California. Working towards the goal saving my money. Don't give up.
