The day we went to Mineral Ridge we continued down the 97 and back up the 3 and saw several spots where you can catch the trail. Don't worry, that is on the list too as is Hiawatha.

Well, kind of off topic, but. Oh but yes. The venerable VZW Motorola Droid phone. Correct elousv? The durned thing does soo much and makes phone calls too . And I have done so much more with mine, but WAY off the topic of this thread/forum. (yeah, I'm a cellphone geek, google my user name).

Thanks for the pics. Obviously taken wit yer Droid. Hope I can do the same in a few weeks or so.

National Recreation Trails Database
Mineral ridge has dogs-leashed. Unless you have some super aggressive dog that goes up to people like he is going to rip their face off, then I don't think you will have much trouble. I have seen tons of dogs on Tubbs. There is an off-leash park at Stateline and a bunch of people are working hard to get one in CDA.
That's a really useful website! Thanks--I think our dog is about to become a backpacking dog! They're apparently allowed in more places!

Trace, thanks for the ridge pic! I grabbed it with my Blackberry!

I knew is was real and not just me looking at NID through rose colored glasses. FRONT page CDA Press; "Coeur d'Alene's air quality is among the best in the nation, a recent study announced."

I don't see ANY animals around there. Lots of people tromping through so I think the wild animals shy away.
