This was in March. Notice the clouds so I can't be accused of just showing the perfect days in NID, although it is perfect for hiking.

You can take the high road or you can take the low road.

This hike is a "no brainer" if you are in CDA as you are in the heart of town.

It is of course right on the lake.

This is the CDA Resort and the boardwalk that you can walk around.

Nice pics as usual. Most of them remind me of Woodland Lake Park in Pinetop, AZ with the Ponderosa pines, the rocks, the bridge and the path cut into the hillside next to the lake. Pinetop doesn't have the CDA skyline, though, hehe.

If I may ask, these were taken with your Moto Droid phone, right? How do you upload these here? Through a (your) Picasa account?

Thanks in advance.

Correct, DROID DOES! When you take a picture it goes into the gallery and you can share it on Facebook, Messaging, Picasa, Bluetooth or Gmail. The phone comes with 16GB. Picasa web gives you 1GB free then you have to pay. The first level is 20GB for $5 per year. From Picasa you can embed the image or link in four sizes. You can edit the pics if you download Picasa to your PC. The phone is Moto-Verizon-Google so that is why it is programmed for Picasa and Gmail but it works so fine with me. Verizon seems to work the best in this area of NID. The camera is 5MP with digital zoom. It does have limitations of course, it does not have macro and cannot capture certain things in low light. If you look at the sunset I posted on the Porch a few days ago that was with a dedicated digital camera. The Droid did not do it justice.

Well, thank you. I might think about setting up the sync to a Picasa account on my droid. And as far as all DROID DOES, oh but yes, I have had insider info on it for over a year now, ordered it the very first day it came out and just love it! In fact, here's a few notes I've written about just some of the stuff I've done to mine. It'll be on the dash soon for my trip.

I've been looking at the pics all around here you've taken with it, thanks for the note on the sunset one.

I did this hike a couple years ago when I was in Couer d'Alene. Very nice and easy hike. We stayed at the CDA resort and hotel with the Marina next to the parking lot.

Didn't have my camera with me that day though. I wanted to post pictures of the hike here Tubbs Hill Coeur d'Alene Idaho Hiking & Backpacking. Beautiful images you've got here and I'm jealous of the phone!

I went through there a few weeks ago and scored some geocaches, there are a number hidden there. It was the first time in probably 10 years I'd been on Tubbs, I had forgotten how pretty it was. I need to go back and hike the whole thing again when I have more time.

I didn't even think about caching the place. That's a good idea

Enjoy the fall colors on Tubbs while you can because many trees wont be turning next year due to the poison they received this fall.

Beautiful pics, E! It's funny, we were exploring CdA in August, and all of a sudden I recognized your pics and realized we were at Tubbs Hill! We didn't have time to go walking, though. Next summer! If there's anything left after all the poisoning (Huh??)
