More illegals than ever are moving into Oklahoma despite HB 1804 because a federal appeals court has ruled that certain portions of HB 1804 can't be enforced. That figures. What a joke our government is. You try to do something to help your state and get shot down by the feds.

Jessica gets to flee Mexico, come here and get educated in US public schools. If they keep running from Mexico, Mexico will have no reason to want to improve the quality of life for people in certain areas. Mexico is already conscious of the ability that they have that allows them to let all of their uneducated and impoverished people flow into the USA, so I guess it doesn't matter.

When do we get to send the invoice to Mexico?

Along with the invoice we should pull a 'Castro' like what
he did to the U.S. back in the 80's

when the law breaks the law there is no law (billy jack 1971)
our federal government is suing the states for attempting to enforce federal law, the law the feds refuse to enforce.

I wonder if that story is supposed to make us feel sorry for Jessica and all other illegals with tears running down their cheeks?? I am appalled at the lack of enforcing the law we are seeing over and over. I am tired of supporting people who are not in this country legally. And I am tired of knowing they are taking away some jobs from those who are legal and need those jobs. Most of all I am sick of our federal government not taking the action they should an not standing behind our states.

Ranting about Mexicans isn't going to help much. It only shows ignorance toward the manifestation of the issue. Despising Mexicans who are here illegally may be the most direct route to release the frustration, but it's the method of simpletons.

Guiding from the posts on this thread, so far it appears most let their eyes glaze over what the priest said.

"Are these people here illegally? Yes. Why? Mostly jobs. But maybe we ought to be asking ourselves who's providing the jobs. Or who owns the homes these immigrants are living in. Follow the money, and you'll be able to start to understand the complexities of the issue."

Why is it that the Mexican haters don't have the same vitriol for those companies that hire them?

Exactly

This also works for our new government policies

First, we are not Mexican haters. We hate ILLEGAL immigration. Secondly, I think anyone who knowingly hires and illegal so go to jail.

I agree with all the posts. I can't hate people I don't know. I also know that if I couldn't find a job in Arizona I wouldn't move to Mexico. That would cause me a lot of problems in the future that I would knowingly be getting myself in to. Mexico is a big country and I know many proud and happy Mexicans that live IN MEXICO!

I also agree that businesses and landlords are part of the problem here and shouldn't be getting away with this. But the biggest issue is STILL the Federal Government not enforcing the laws we NOW HAVE IN PLACE!

People are outraged that the oil spill occured and there aren't enough regulations on the oil industry. Don't forget the gal that quit right after the spill. That rig had just PASSED inspection and there were regulations in place to prevent it. They were not enforced.

During the time we were having a financial meltdown the SEC is spending 8 hours a day watching porn. What good are MORE regulations?

Our government needs to spend more time enforcing the laws we have and less time writing new ones.
