After reviewing the source list on the bottom of the original pdf document it’s obvious that the Pew Hispanic center was a major contributor. Also, many federal government sources were consulted……….Yea, like I’m going to believe anything coming from OUR government…Please!!! Would you really believe the Pew Hispanic Center is going to say anything other than what a positive effect ILLEGAL immigrants have on America? Oh wait, it came from the Internet, it must be true….LOL

FACT: Many immigrants to the United States seek citizenship, even in the face of difficult requirements and huge backlogs that can delay the process for years.
Most immigrants are ineligible to apply for citizenship until they have resided in the U.S. with lawful permanent resident status for five years, have passed background checks, have shown that they have paid their taxes, are of "good moral character, demonstrate knowledge of U.S. history and civics, and have the ability to understand, speak and write English." In addition, people applying for naturalization have to pay a fee, which increased by 69% in 2007 from $400 to $675, making it much harder for low-income immigrants to reach their dream of becoming Americans. 24
Despite these barriers, The Pew Hispanic Center's report on U.S. Census data shows that the proportion of eligible immigrants who have acquired citizenship rose to 52% in 2005, "the highest level in a quarter of a century." 15 In the 2007 fiscal year, DHS received 1.4 million citizenship applications—nearly double from last fiscal year 26—and between June and July of 2007, naturalization applications increased 350% compared to last year. 27 In his testimony to Congress, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director, Emilio Gonzalez, referred to this increase as "unprecedented in the history of immigration services in our nation." 28
Yet, despite the promise by USCIS that backlogs would be eliminated, applications for naturalization can take a year and half to adjudicate and of the 1.4 applications it received in 2007, less than 660,000 have been decided. 29.

They are illegal because they can't become legal.
The process of getting documented in this country is virtually impossible.

I once went to Elmhurst Hospital because I had no insurance and had a health issue. I signed up for their little plan where you pay a fee based on your income. It's funny, because 100% of the people I had to wait behind were immigrants who spoke no English and listening to them, almost none had any legal, on the books income. I was going there as a last resort before the ER. I got the card and was told to go downstairs to schedule an appt. with a Dr. I was told there was a 2 week waiting list (my issue needed immediate care). I then asked about the ER and how long it'd take. "well, it's 3 now. Maybe you'll be seen before 11 PM tonight". Meanwhile, these large families who obviously had no jobs because they could all apply for non-emergency services together during the middle of the day, were in the ER and seeing the Drs. Gosh, I wonder who is paying for these services that he says they can't get.

If they have a false SS, they are paying taxes, but they aren't getting anything in return.
What is your problem?
I've debunked all of your rants.

Our problem is that they stole somebody's social security number to get those jobs, are taking jobs away from Americans in a recession, and are using services that we, the tax payers have to pay for.

So you see nothing wrong with a woman coming here to give birth so her baby can become a citizen and she can get government assistance?

She's not getting assistance. She's getting assistance for her baby.
Two different things.

I totally agree!!! Anchor babies, that's another issue that needs some kind of reform. In this ridiculous politically correct society we're not suppose to say it out loud, but we all know that most of these births on our soil are intentional for the sole purpose of obtaining those services on OUR dime.
