These crimes aren't at all surprising when you have millions of foreigners believing they are exempt from any laws they don't want to respect. When you have open borders and no kind of immigration law enforcement, of course you'll get all kinds of criminals taking advantage of the free-for-all. Our government allows foreign citizens to commit document fraud and ID theft as they please which makes all kinds of crimes very appealing.

"We don't ask criminals about their political affiliation or their religion. So why should we focus on their immigration status?"

So now one’s political affiliation and/or religion are on par with illegal entry or visa overstays, and the ensuing criminal activity? The last time I checked, it is possible to align oneself with a political party or subscribe to religious doctrine without engaging in unlawful behavior. However, it is NOT possible to live in this country illegally without also participating in other acts of criminality. I didn’t realize ID theft, document fraud, and tax evasion go hand in hand with one’s political leaning or church fellowship. These lame comparisons only illustrate the sheer desperation of pro-illegals to decriminalize illegal immigration. I guess the “people also exceed the speed limit” analogy isn’t working for them.
