This is totally ridiculous! When my son was in elementary school, at the beginning of each school year I had to complete a form listing the names, addresses, and phone numbers of every person authorized to pick him up from school. If their name was not on the list, and they could not produce the required ID, they could not remove him from the premises. How hard is that?
It said for now parents at Maple Lawn Elementary will have to take extra steps to ensure they leave with the right child. It also said it doesn't want to over-react and make it too challenging for parents to pick up their kids.
OMG!!! The fool didn't even know it WASN'T HIS OWN KID???????
If the school is mostly composed of illegals (and I'd say there are a high percentage as a friend of mine was a nurse there) it raises the question about what kind of IDs are acceptable? Is it racist to ask for IDs in this case as claimed with the Arizona Police?

I'm sure many would cry & complain that it is.
