Wow, this tells you all the bills in that bill are BAD for this country, especially the DREAM act.
Actually there were at least 4 Dems that voted Nay including Reid himself. This puzzled everyone but from what I surmise Reid knew they didn't have the votes for cloture and to move it forward. He probably has some devious tactic for the future up his sleeve by voting Nay.

Oh. I didn't look hard enough.

That is susceptible. Reid definitely has something up his sleeve!

Yes the Reid and McCain votes were kind of puzzling.

Come November, it's going to be quite a lot harder for him to revive this bill.

It's completely and utterly absurd that so many American students are going into sky high debt with college loans and so many Americans have to give up their dream of going to college while the illegals are demanding that they only have to show up, be here two years and are to be given a free college education.

NOTHING stops these losers from going to college as they have colleges in their home countries and there is such a thing as foreign student visas and of course foreign student tuition rates. These people just see all this as another handout.

And of course all they have to do is be smuggled in at age 15 or 16, and in 2 years not only claim their free college education but sponsor their illegal relatives. That's what this is all about.

I hope everyone understands the specifics of this Dream Act proposal. One thing is that the age for "student" is up to 35 years of age with the lowest age being I believe 5. This bill also allows the amnestied privilege of bringing family as well. Moms, Dads, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins...

The American people are being fed dribbles of what is entailed in this proposal to make it more palatable so please, become informed and spread the truth.

It's not over -

The DREAM Act has been procedurally added to the legislative calendar as a stand-alone bill (S. 3827).

I wonder when it will rear its ugly head again?

We're not through fighting it either.

Everyone here against illegal immigration should join NumbersUSA so they can send faxes when incidents like this come up.
Everyone who's already a member knows what I mean.
Phone calls and faxes are what helped us win this round.
