Well I think the difference is like this:
Say I have ten kids and two of them are constantly destroying furniture and items in my house because they're just bad kids.
A burglar comes into my house without my permission and consent, and busts my windows out. Is it any consolation that I have kids of my own that break my stuff too?
If the burglar was not a burglar at the time, but instead an invited GUEST of mine when he busted out my window, there is much less a feeling of violation.
Any crime caused by people who aren't supposed to be here is even more of a tragedy than the crime itself, because but for lax immigration and "migrant screening" policies, those crimes ostensibly would not have happened.
