Or we can crack down on illegals and force them to self deport as we have seen happen in cities and states who have cracked down on illegals.
The most deserving? Deserving would indicate that they have done something to earn special considerations or rewards.
Just what have these illegals done that has earned them a reward?
.

evaded arrest

Well the bad news is we are well on our way to getting the worst outcome.

We cannot contain the problem at this level and so it will continue. When the economy turns up it will again grow.

The only good news is that it won't get a whole lot worse. A combination of the Mexican birth rate and emigration to the US means there are only five or six million more Mexicans in the demographic class that will come across.

So it will only get a little worse...than moderate...we can declare victory....we ate them all...

We've had the "worst outcome" for the last 40 years if you pay taxes. A bunch of business owners get slave like labor while we chumps subsidize the labor. What a grand idea.

These were not on line polls by the way. Carefully constructed and hopefully statistically valid. Though I would have little doubt that Rasmussen used a sample that favored the Repubs. They always do...
Actually if ALL the Dems had voted aye - it would have passed, so you can blame the Dems not the Republicans.

There were 41 votes against cloture. The vast majority were Republicans.

But again there were 55 votes for the Act...cut off by the filibuster.

I would much prefer to see more overlap on these issues. I think party line votes indicate the system is broken.

Let's see if it gets better in the coming two years when negotiation is required for anyone to do anything.

Legalizing all the illegals isn't a fix for anything, you clearly don't understand that. There's no such thing as a deserving illegal alien.

That's exactly why Democrats won't retain control in Jan, the American people are against amnesty and Democrats love the idea. Those 55 voters should be put strung up.

So the illegal kids can win if the can get past the blocks the Repubs create. It is a nice issue for the demos...they get another couple of percent of the vote that would otherwise have tended to go Repub.

The kids will win in the end. Make take a while though.
Since you’re referencing polls, I’m sure you also realize according to ALL polls, the majority of citizens oppose amnesty and support SB 1070. If the majority who voted in support of the DREAM Act actually knew they were supporting backdoor amnesty, do you honestly believe it would get their support?

The ONLY reason the DREAM Act has support, is due to the deceptive tactics used by politicians and illegal alien advocates. They realize most people are sympathetic when sob stories of “children” are involved.

DREAMies are not children; they’re adults who commit the same acts of lawlessness as their criminal parents. I can’t post the link, but if you visit the DREAM Act Portal Forum and read their threads, their true colors are glaring. You can start with the thread, “How have you guys done it?”
