Hillbilly, I'm glad you brought this up. Just exactly who ARE the candidates who are against the invasion? Which ones support sending them home and strictly guarding our borders? Please name them. I don't care which party they're from, but they've got my vote.

I do know that Tom Tancredo is for deportation and closing the border completely, no matter what it takes. Here is a link to his site.
Tancredo for President - Official Campaign Site (broken link)
Ron Paul now says he is against illegal immigration, but to me he has been shown to be too wishy-washy when it comes to the border. After all he is a Libertarian.
Duncan Hunter is all for securing the border but not so hot for deportation because he keeps spewing the same old, same old about we can't deport all illegal aliens in our country. Of course we can. There is nothing we can't do if we put our minds to it. Never forget what Ike did either back when he saw the invasion of the same country.
My only thing this time around is the border security and illegal aliens. If they aren't for deporting them and for absolute securing of the border and ports then as far as I am concerned they do not exist. I absolutely refuse to vote for the lesser of two evils. Look at what it got the country these last few decades. Not very good at all if you ask me. But then, I havene't seen a decent President, one who happens to be for the country and the citizens who reside therein, since Ike. We have not had any with real guts since then because all they seem able to do is to pander to the minorities and people who don't have any right to be here in the first damn place.

I've heard Fred Thompson speak very candidly about the invasion, he's not in favor of any type of the amnesty plan ... I know, the politicians say it isn't amnesty but at least for ME, there's no other name for it. Now, if only Fred would officially announce..

But he is not for deportation of the ones already here. I seriously think Thompson is another panderer and nothing more. Be careful...be very careful with him. I don't trust him because he has not had the guts to state what he is truly for and/or against. After all, he is just another acotr and the last actor gave us the first amnesty. Not a good thing and made it worse for the rest of the country since then.
so Clinton & Obama address a group of hispanics & what do you expect them to say? 'We dislike illegals?" Republicans would have done the same but none of them showed up to the event.
Reagan signed the first amnesty bill & Dubya as Governor of Texas said or did nothing about illegals in his state. He was the one pushing the immigration bill.
If you think we are going to deport millions of people wake up. It's not going to happen.
The Democrats are smart courting the hispanic vote because they are ensuring themselves a victory in '08.
I dont doubt they will win. I have a big problem supporting a canidate that is planning on signing an amnesty bill. This is a problem. By doing this it is telling americans and illegals that the laws in this country are just a suggestion. If we continue this way as a country, god help us.

Oh no, if you are an American citizen then you will pay for your crime. It happens to be only illegals that can do as they please no matter what the law may be.
This country will end up being somewhat like Mexico. If you have ever been to Mexico, well, that is what we are headed toward.

We are not teaching our illegal new comers what being an american citizen is about. We are teaching them that they can do whatever the crap they want and they will be forgiven. I say we send them back and use lethal force to protect out border. As for the ones that drop a kid 6 feet across our border and the kid automaticly being a citizen. I say we vote in a president with at least 1/2 a ball that will pass into law that both parents become citizens legally before the child is. They are using this as a way in. You cant tell me that you just wake up one morning and decide "honey, lets go to the USA...I know that you are 8 months along, but lets go". This is crap. Legal force can be justified to protect the lives of our citizens. Illegals do present a risk to citizens because they take out jobs and the ability for us, the taxpayers to feed out family.
