You don't say!!!! They never did nor will they ever care. Its all about the money!. And as to them not drive !. Why should they worry about the laws re: driving they don't follow any of our other laws otherwise they would go home !
As though a license will make them obey our laws. It damn sure won’t stop them from driving drunk.
What worries me is how this will impact legal migrants in this state. Wa already have an "enhanced licence" that's only available to citizens, and I can see a time coming when MY (and my daughter's) Wa state DL will not be accepted as valid ID, being that so many ILLEGALS (a majority of which aren't even Wa residents) also have exactly the same DL.

It’s a dirty shame that this illegal immigration debacle has impacted decent, law-abiding legal residents. Why should legal residents suffer due to the actions of others? Even my son had a heck of a time getting his learner’s permit simply because Maryland was stupid enough to issue DL’s to illegals, and they flocked to MD in droves from every state on the East Coast. Now, they realize their mistake, and anyone trying to get a DL in MD has to do everything but give blood. It’s ridiculous. I lost my DL, and although I have had a license in this state since I was 16, I had to jump through hoops.
I also have a friend who is legal resident from Bolivia, and she is so distraught due to the growing anti-illegal sentiment in this area. She told me she feels like a pariah at times when she shops, because she speaks with an accent, and is “Hispanic” in appearance, so she feels people automatically question her status. She refuses to speak Spanish in public, even when clerks speak to her in Spanish, she responds in English. We did not have these issues prior to massive illegal immigration.

Its safer to use English. Bummer cause the illegals have messed it up for the Mexicans, etc. who did things right coming here.
The only good news is...wait for 2012, when every member that voted against this will probably be kicked out.
