Arizona Seeks Online Donations to Build Border Fence - FoxNews.com

I would like to volunteer to help build it too if they allow that a few months from now!

No other country in the world does it this way. Even if it once made sense in the wake of slavery and for our frontier and industrial growth years, that time has passed. But, ...

Until the Congress somehow edits or amends or otherwise qualifies that overly broad language used in the first line of the first section of the 14th... not much else that might be done -including fences or full up Greyhound Buses- will matter much. Focus on this point folks.

All the fence is going to do is push the illegals to find other places to cross, it has already been proven to be ineffective, but I guess if AZ can raise enough money to build it, then more power to them. The fence has done nothing to deter these people from building tunnels or whatever other means they use to smuggle humans and drugs into the country.

Yes, but the harder we make it for them to enter the better. So no, it isn't essentially ineffective. At least Arizona will have a lot less entry into their state and that is their objective.

There is technology for sensors to detect tunnels under the ground. We need to pull out all the stops to secure our border. No one is expecting these measures to be 100% effective but it will put a big dent in illegal entry. Something tells me that you don't want that.

That's terrible. Arizona would have more money to spend on its fence but instead has to pay legal fees for trying to enforce immigration laws.

At one point it was estimated 3000 were entering illegally DAILY until we put up a wall and extra border guards.

3000 a day is the equivalent of a new town that speaks only Spanish and pays no taxes EVERY day.

Anything is better than that.

This is a good cause worth mentioning. If it were not for the actions of this administration and this President, this would not be happening, How very Sad! Any little bit has got to help. I like to see them raise this money, so that our President, knows where most of us stand on this issue, he cares nothing about.

What I find amazing about this administration in WA is our friend, a US citizen, has found a good job that required travel to Mexico. He is having nothing but trouble getting a border pass yet this president tells our sheriffs and border agents to stop arresting illegals. Our friend's new employer can't hold the job open much longer. Here an unemployed American finds a job but our Homeland Security department may cost him the position. I don't care if you are a republican or a democrat, please vote this nut out of office in 2012.
