The United States isn't the only nation trying to stop the flow of illegal immigration. My in-laws and friends in the UK tell me there have been almost daily raids of businesses where illegals are being sought out.

The US federal government is not trying to stop the flow of illegal immigration. They flex their muscles when state governments try do something about it. Most big politicians use this to promote their own agendas to get votes but yet do nothing in return. At least state governments are trying to do something.

This is not surprising. Illegal immigrants make for an easy target for politicians to lay blame for economic woes during times like these.

But why do you think the governments of their own countries, their own elected politicians want them gone also?

Part of the problem is their runaway birth rates. In this day and age, the need for ultra cheap labor is no longer there. Having babies for the sake of having babies, having babies when you have no education or ability to support them is foolish. Very foolish. Having babies and expecting that sneaking into another country is the total solution to this problem is foolish.

What needs to happen is societal reform in the impoverished regions of those countries where people have not caught up with modern day life where you delay the start of a family until you can afford a family and limit family size to what you can afford. This nation cannot support third world breeding rates and styles for very long.

And note - I'm not saying it has to be some government limit on family size or about getting 12 year olds on birth control. Delaying the start of a family can mean delaying sexual activity, abstinence, as well as birth control, more importantly would be to change the culture from machismo where 14 year old boys feel like big men because they knocked up a 12 year old girl when they have no ability to support their offspring. Or a 30 year old man siring his 12th child with his 4th woman because he feels manly even if all the children live off food stamps.

One reason we don't have 30 million Canadians living illegally in the USA is that Canadians don't tend to start families by age 15 and aren't having children they can't feed.

Machismo is a big part of the problem and also young girls being pushed into adulthood at an early age by following in their mother's footsteps of procreating at an early age.
