Obama and Holders Fast and Furious scandal.

Obama is F'n clown that is trying to play both sides. If this fool was serious he would go after the employers, let the states do their job and shut up.

His deliberate attempt to block enforcement of EXISTING laws and offering further incentives ( the Dream Act, etc..) to ILLEGALLY come here is proof positive of the failures of his administration on this issue.
What good are deportations when they will just come back across?

The facts are that the border needs to be secured. Whether that means a wall from the Gulf Of mexico to the Pacific Ocean or armed troops...it needs to be secured. Until that is done, it won't matter how many the government deports...because that is nothing more than grandstanding....showing us Americans...'See? I'm doing something about the illegals here!'

Unless we stop giving them social services like medicaid and welfare, they will continue to have a reason to come here. We cannot be responsible for the world's poor.

We made our own way in our country...from a bunch of colonists who decided that they did not want to be governed without representation....to to most powerful nation in the world. Let them make something of THEIR country as we did. True freedom and good quality of life come from fighting for it..not walking across a border to claim it from someone else.

Glad to see more deported, but not enough is being done to keep them from coming in or to make the live's of the ones here tough enough they will want to leave on their own.

Exactly. The government has been trying to promote these deportation numbers for about two years now and I've always thought that it was nothing but politics. The federal government, especially the Obama Administration and co-stars, have done so many things to help illegal immigrants stay here. So, these reports of "record" deportations only help in the sense that serious criminals are being deported, even though they can easily get back in.

It all kinda insults the intelligence of the people here, but that's what the media does.

They are using this as a pacifier for all of us who are making nose against illegal immigration. They need something that says, "Hey, we're doing something." Also, they are probably just trying to make more room for the ones they want to stay here.

Targeting a state that is heavily populated with illegal immigrants raises the numbers and makes good press as well as making someone or people look as if they are actually doing something.

There are 11.2 million illegal immigrants spread out over the US. Mexicans are just part of the 11.2 million. If the government is going to go after illegal immigrants they need to look at all of them, not target a specific group.

It's significantly more than 11.2 million. It was reported to be that when Bush took office and there were up to 3 million border crashers coming over every year, most not getting caught.

Where do are you getting the info that they are targeting a specific group? Are you pulling the racial profiling card here? The fact remains though that 80% of illegal aliens are Latinos and most of those are Mexicans. If you think that Mexicans are the only illegals being deported then you don't have your facts straight.

How can you compare the number of other nationalities being deported to Mexicans? The number of other nationalities being deported is a fraction compared to the Latinos/Mexicans being deported. If 80% are Latinos, then it stands to figure that the majority being deported are Mexicans!!! Some states have considerably more illegals than others, especially those states that require migrant workers, which would be Latinos/Mexicans. You must have missed a few threads because all people talk about are Mexican illegals, with no mention of all the other illegals of various nationalities.

Dang! How are Obama and the Democrats going to win votes from illegals if they keep deporting their own voters (as the Tea Party nutjobs always claim)???

That's because the number of other nationalities here illegally pales in comparison to the number of Mexicans here illegally, duh. You said it yourself in one of your above sentences. It is the same reason that Mexicans are discussed more in regards to illegal immigration. You question that and then give the answer right in your own post.
