Napolitano did not say whether she favored the arrest quotas outlined in the ICE memos, but she said there must be priorities in any law enforcement job. She said the focus should be on illegal immigrants who have committed crimes or are gang members. But, she said, "It doesn't mean to say that you give a blank check to everybody else."
I agree, Janet.

Yes, because felony document fraud may not be a violent crime but it does harm Americans in many ways. Document and Identification theft are not victimless crimes. All nations have a duty to protect their citizens, and also protect the standard of living of it's citizens. You can't throw open the doors and have a billion impoverished people pour in and keep things right for the citizens.

I look at it this way.....how many American citizens are 'rounded up' every day on non violent drug charges? How many American citizens are imprisoned (with lengthy sentences) on non violent drug offenses?
Yet because a certain segment of our society are illegal immigrants they ought to be excused from arrest and deportation because their crimes were non violent? Big deal -- as I have said, our jails are teeming with non violent drug offenders. What in the end is the difference? Besides the lobbyists and 'neighborhood activists' that the illegal immigrants have in their corner?

There is no difference. This is simply their lame attempt to ‘decriminalize’ illegal immigration. Their strategy is to convince enough people that only those illegals guilty of committing “violent” crimes are the ‘bad’ guys, hoping that the “nonviolent” illegals will ultimately gain our acceptance. After all, they’re only here seeking a better life.

They’re playing psychological games, and are depending on gullible sheeple to acquiesce. It’s the same reason they don’t refer to them as illegal aliens, because the word illegal has a negative connotation, while “undocumented” is much more innocuous.

The pro-illegal media is more than willing to assist them with this indoctrination by featuring warm and fuzzy illegal alien stories -- so and so illegal alien has been an exemplary student, yet is denied a chance for a college education . . . . so and so illegal alien is the mother of 5 U.S. citizens, yet was ripped from her family during a workplace raid . . . so and so illegal alien only wants to be an American, yet is forced to live in the shadows cramped in a 2-bedroom apt with 20 other hardworking migrants etc., etc., etc. It’s amazing so many have fallen for this propaganda.

Mark my words; they will soon only focus on the “violent” illegal aliens. Anything else would be inhumane, racist, and a waste of our dwindling resources.

Pedophiles, drunk drivers, burglars, stalkers, embezzlers, car thieves, and internet scam artists are ALL non-violent offenders. SOME of them are even "nice people", if one overlooks their one particular 'vice'.......So what?

The illegal aliens broke the laws sneaking into the United States, all of them. Since when, do the politicians get to pick and choose, which laws they will or will not enforce? I think it's high time we voted out those kind of politicians, which is all of them.

$3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.

30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the United States.

"The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One Million Sex Crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States".
http://www.drdsk.com/articles.html

Every day 12 Americans are murdered by an illegal alien. Another 13 Americans are killed by uninsured drunk illegal aliens and Eight American Children are victims of a sex crime committed by an illegal alien each day!
http://www.house.gov/apps/list/hearing/ia05_king/col_20060505_bite.html

Today, criminal aliens account for over 29 percent of prisoners in Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities and a higher share of all federal prison inmates. These prisoners represent the fastest growing segment of the federal prison population. Incarceration of criminal aliens cost an estimated $624 million to state prisons (1999) and $891 million to federal prisons (2002), according to the most recent available figure from the Bureau of Justice Statistics.
