Preckwinkle told the feds the county will not help them deport illegal immigrants, because that would mean granting them fewer rights than American citizens.

Chicago is as big of an illegal alien sanctuary as Los Angeles. I have relatives in Chicago with political connections. According to them, the corrupt powers that be struck a deal with Obama which gave Bill Daley (former mayor Daley's brother) a seat at the Obama administrations's table in exchange that ensured that Rahm Emanuel would become Chicago's mayor.
Chicago is bankrupt and the murder rates in Chicago are skyrocketing. I think Rahm got the short end of the stick.
Preckwinkle's letter is just the latest volley in a dispute that surfaced earlier this year after a Mexican illegal immigrant living in Chicago failed to show up in court to face a charge that his drunken driving resulted in a death.

No kidding. The irony in all of this mess is that we have to present documentation that confirms who we are everywhere we go. Yet, illegals in America get a free pass because their documentation does not validate them as legal in this country.

Whose ranting? Um, your ignorance is even more hilarious. NEWS FLASH Chicago is located in Cook County. If I remember correctly basic geography is a 3rd grade class. Let me know if you need a map.
