It would take TX about 8-10 years to execute the guy if found guilty. I wonder how long it will take California ?

If ever ?

Thank you. Why they would put this topic on a forum where no one takes it seriously is an enigma.

It will take at least 20 years, and as I write repealing the death penalty is the next big thing in California. "Costs too much money, what with all the appeals and legal fees." Sigh. There are over 600 inmates on Death Row now and the number won't be dropping anytime soon.

And how about the 30,000 "non-violent offenders" being let out to the county jails by 2014 (AB109)? Next thing I'll hear is "Give the jobs to the ex-convicts," which will really make the pro-illegal community furious. They'll have to wait in line behind legal citizens of all races, I might add.

And the US doesn't have enough of its own problems?!

Better our ex cons have a shot at working than a bunch of illegal aliens. Not all ex cons were killers or rapists. Sheesh; ALL IA's are breaking the law by just being in the US.

I couldn't agree with you more. It's those pesky illegal aliens and their supporters who will be up in arms (literally waving their flag(s) and taking it to the streets).

What part of "You are NOT welcome here" don't they understand?

Jury selected for Jamiel Shaw murder case | abc7.com

Finally, Jamiel's illegal alien murderer will stand trial. Hopefully justice will be served.
They all come here for a better life.

Of course he will get convicted and live on the taxpayer's dime . In the process, he will simply be a gangbanger behind walls and if he ever gets out if the DP isn't given, he will emerge an even hardened criminal for society to deal with. Isn't life grand?

I feel for this kid that got shot and his family. He had a future ahead of him and it was gone in a second. His mother is in Iraq putting her own life on the line for our country and his father is testifying so hopefully this does not happen to someone else. Either way, I admire all 3 of them.
