being an illegal immigrant, and not having a SSN or even a valid ID, how are they going to get legit jobs? Also when people say that this country was founded by immigrants is a false positive the truth is those that discovered this country assimilated and industrialized this country while todays immigrants want to bring their OWN culture and force the country they invaded to adopt their culture instead of them embracing ours.

This makes sense:

"I understand they (illegal immigrants) can be very bright and ambitious and as Americanized as you and me, but at the end of the day, they can't get a Social Security number and so they can't get a job," said state Sen. Nancy Spence, R-Centennial. "So they would have to lie and cheat and steal to get hired. And if they can't get hired, then they wouldn't be able to pay back their student loans."

And, here is the reason: Money

If the school reaches the 25 percent mark, it would be eligible for HSI designation, which would give Metro State access to a large pool of federal funding. What an idea, more illegals = federal funding. Simple greed.

Wow. So one law for Americans and legal foreign nationals who follow our immigration laws . . . and another special law for lower tuition for those who don't.

Yep and the wheels on the bus go round and round. And round and round, and nothing with immigration will ever change.

As long as Obama is President, don't count on anything changing, but getting worse.

This is a private college (I think) not a State owned college. I also think 1AngryTaxPayer hit the nail: 25% Hispanic gets an additional $35M from the Feds on top of the $37M form the State. That's an enormous raise for every professor and employee there.

Every USC student applying to college should check Hispanic off in the box.
