I don't think there is any decline in number of border crossers. Too many having to be rescued to believe the numbers are actually down. I blame the deaths on those who encourage the illegals to come here illegally. All for the dirt cheap labor.

Two illegal immigrants rescued following rattlesnake bites : News : ValleyCentral.com

Authorities have rescued 200 immigrants and found the bodies of 64 others in the South Texas brush.

I hope they didn't harm the rattlesnakes. With Obama in charge they may be the only thing protecting our borders.

Luckily they get FREE care. Oh... you mean someone has to pick up the health care costs for these 2 illegals ?

Oh yes -- it will be completely free health care given to them -- I suspect the number of deaths is not down along the border, just as many coming as ever.

People are far kinder than that here. But the expense of these people getting themselves into trouble is becoming unsustainable. The open border is cruelty at its highest in my opinion and we should secure it so that more people do not try to drag their children across that desert for a better life. Go home and get in line.

I read a report that was dated May of 2012 where the border partol agents made comment that we should NOT belive the numbers our fine staff in DC were spouting about the decline in illegals.

Excellent point! I have been working on some numbers pertaining to the closure of Hospitals due to lack of pay. And the heavist areas hit, Southern Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and of course California. Coincidence?

^^^none of those closures would have happened if illegals were given social security numbers, identities, and had to pay for everything (taxes) like the rest of us.

Some close minded people are afraid of the US changing...well this is how the US has always been. The US has always been dynamic and Latinos are here to stay.
