DHS has proven they are inept at monitoring the visa program, as evidenced by the fact that an estimated 40% of illegal aliens are visa overstays. So, why should we believe they will do a better job handling the estimated 1.8 million DACA applicants?

I will be extremely surprised if DACA doesn't become yet another unenforced policy. Once Dreamies get a work permit, DL, and SSN, few will even bother trying to renew their so-called deferred action. Why should they? They know our immigration policies aren't enforced. Otherwise, we wouldn't have untold millions living here in plain view, marching in our streets, riding buses to political conventions, proudly proclaiming they are undocumented and unafraid, daring ICE to arrest them, and basically telling citizens to take a hike. And, given the abysmal lack of oversight at DHS, it will take years before they even realize their "temporary" status has expired.

One would think DHS at least would have improved its tracking procedures before implementing DACA. Yet, despite known inadequacies, they have chosen to launch DACA as an "emergency" initiative. Unless I missed something, DACA applicants are not outside the U.S. in harm's way facing a catastrophic natural disaster. Nor are they seeking asylum. They are already here, safely enjoying life in the USA. So, what the heck is the urgency?

If they can't monitor well-established programs, in particular identifying risks and controlling fraud, then how on earth will they manage another, especially one launched without even the benefit of a pilot program? Of course, the answer is, they can't.

The attempted bombing of an airline on December 25, 2009, by a Nigerian citizen with a valid U.S. visa renewed concerns about the security of the visa process. Further, unauthorized immigrants who entered the country legally on a temporary basis but then overstayed their authorized periods of admission—overstays—could pose homeland security risks.

DHS has not yet implemented a comprehensive biometric system to match available information (e.g., fingerprints) provided by foreign nationals upon their arrival and departure from the United States and faces reliability issues with data used to identify overstays.

GAO has made recommendations in prior reports that, among other things, call for DHS to strengthen management of overstay enforcement efforts, mechanisms for collecting data from foreign nationals departing the United States, and planning for addressing certain Visa Security and Visa Waiver programs’ risks. DHS generally concurred with these recommendations and has actions planned or underway to address them.

Roughly 40 percent of illegal immigrants in the United States simply overstayed their legal visas once they are in the country, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has limited resources to identify and remove these overstays, congressional investigators reported Tuesday.

But US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the DHS agency responsible for removing overstays, has only dedicated about 3 percent of its investigative workforce hours to investigating them. ICE agents have arrested only 8,100 overstays since fiscal 2006, the GAO report noted.

"In the absence of a biometric entry and exit system, DHS uses various methods for identifying overstays, primarily biographic data, and sharing of overstay information; however, DHS faces challenges in collecting departure data and does not share information about all categories of suspected overstays among its components," the report read.

Obviously they won't. They are simply rubber-stamping the applications as it is, the illegal simply has to check the appropriate box and that's it. There will be no proof of employment needed.

If they enforce laws on the books 1/2 the problem would be solved.

They will have the addresses and information of anyone who applies for the program. Since their work permits need to be renewed every two years, i'm sure most if not all will try to stay clean and out of trouble so that their permits can be renewed.

You don't really know that do you?

Even the radio shows that promote the illegals are advising illegals not to give their real addresses, in many cases they aren't giving their real names.

Nothing requires the illegal to put down their actual address as no proof of residency is needed. Nor their actual name, any alias will be fine. Its not as though the undocumented have any legitimate documents with which to prove anything.

Like millions who entered this country with a government-issued visa, who then deliberately violated the terms of their agreement, DACA will be the same. The government also originally knew where they were, but somehow lost track of their whereabouts. In fact, that's why 40% of illegal aliens are visa overstays. Same church, different pew.

Oh, and please don't get me started on Dreamies. Their forum is replete with examples of their willingness to violate our laws. But, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

So, yes, I do in fact know that. The basic character of a person does not change. It certainly doesn't change due to a "temporary" policy. Dreamies are already scheming on how to lie about their "un-taxed" income and their various forms of fake/stolen ID. Get real.

Default George Soros Open Border/Open Society nearly realized....

Big Sis and her Department of Sexual Harrassment have as much intention of tracking DACA as AG-Holder's Department of Social Just-us and BATFE had of tracking the guns and grenades they illegally traffiked to Mexican drug cartel members and known felons in Operation Fast & Furious.

Figure it out already! Obama's goal has always been to fundamentally destroy this nation.
