From the article -

"The workers, who authorities say are primarily from Mexico but also from Pakistan, are not being arrested. Immigration officials will decide what to do about their immigration status after the case has concluded".

“They will be interviewed as victims,” said Gary Hartwig, special agent in charge of Homeland Security investigations out of Chicago. “We will treat each one independently based on their ability to garner status in the U.S.”

In otherwords these illegal workers weren't arrested in keeping with Obama's hands off approach to illegal immigrants. They are victims? I guess they were forced to work there?

Deportation and secure borders would solve the problem.

There is so much wrong with that article I don't know where to begin.

I can't believe that HLS isn't flooded with tips. What makes this one special - that one of the owners is Pakistani? If his name was Steve Wynn or Sheldon Adelson would that make a difference? Big name hotels in big cities (NY, California, Vegas) are loaded with illegals.

Five years ago the media would have reported that" illegal aliens were rounded up and will be deported for breaking immigration laws, and the owners will face a fine". Now the media reports that "they are illegal immigrants who are victims of American employers who are clearly criminals. The victims will be interviewed on a case by case as to their ability to gain legal status in the US." WTF???

It seems to be that HLS's job is to find "victims" and help them with their illegal status. I bet those illegal Pakistanis get shipped to Gitmo because they MUST be Muslims and possible terrorists and a threat to this great nation, and wait out their interview which will probably take 4 or 5 years if that, and the Mexicans get to apply for their work visas.

So now illegal aliens are being treated as victims? I suppose these "victims" will also be eligible for U Visas and legal status. Is there no end to this nonsense?
