Ok: I'll play.

If the Dream act people want their amnesty: would they be willing to follow a few rules?

Age 14 or younger when the came here with their illegal alien parents but they'd have to show PROOF they were here.
ANY screwup like a small misdemeanor and they're outta here and can't come back for 10 years!
The parents have to leave, period.
End birthright citizenship.
5 year wait before they can apply of US citizenship
Voting in English ONLY.

How many Dream act people would make it? Maybe a few 1000 and that'd be it.

Yes, no rewards for those lawbreaking parents who risked those kids very lives out of their greed for the US handouts and placed them into the hands of cartel smugglers.

Smuggling kids here should most definitely not get those scumball parents any pass around the immigration laws. Maybe a 5 year old isn't to blame for what criminal greey parents did -- but deport the adults. There should be no big reward for them. And no family sponsorship of these scum adults.

I think you know as well as I do though that if an amnesty is passed for these DACA recipients that later congress will allow their parents to stay also because of the cries of family separation. That is why I don't want an amnesty for kids brought here by their parents. The end result will be rewarding their parents here illegally for breaking our immigration laws. It will just snowball from there. Next will be amnestying parents here illegally with U.S. born children. No thanks, no amnesties whatsoever. Remove all the incentives for them remaining here or to continue to come here. Jobs, benefits and birthright citizenship. Can we get it done in congress? I doubt it and for various reasons. I agree with you from an earlier post. I'd rather leave it at the status quo than the above. When our country finally goes bankrupt from supporting them and millions more Americans are out of work the cold hard facts of illegal immigration will finally come to roost with the clueless in our government.

IMHO any amnesty that includes a path to citizenship for someone who came here as an adult is off the table, period. No, no, no.

Also any amnesty that includes the ability to sponsor family members is off the table. QUADRUPLE no.

The only DREAM Act I would support would be for people who came to this country as children under the age of 10, and actually grew up here. It certainly wouldn't include those who entered at 15 and lived here only 5 years. It would also disqualify their parents or other adults who brought them here from EVER being sponsored. The current DREAM Act and DACA rewards their parents for violating our laws. But then, what's new? After all, this country has a history of rewarding illegal aliens.

Agreed. I def DON'T want those kids here if they had stayed a few years like you said, went home and snuck back in to the US.
