How do you explain the success of Asian children who came to the US as refugees with nothing, learned English, studied hard, got good grades and won college scholarships?
It's a cultural difference.
And probably to some degree heritable personality and intelligence differences.
The immigrants today are mostly from the developing and 3rd world. Why should anyone assume they will build and maintain the same American society that a different people before did and not something more like where they came from?
What is this American society you are referring to? Please provide specific examples.
The attitude for alot of people seems to be that immigration was ok in the past and appreciate that the country was built on immigrants...but now it suddenly isn’t ok.
The US admits over 1 million legal immigrants per year. You a clearly ignoring the legal versus illegal distinction. Legal immigrants are vetted and must meet certain criteria. We have laws, and those laws allow a generous 1 million into the country. I certainly don't want unknown law breakers coming into the country.
