Rand Paul is talking about fixing the Guest Worker program. He isn't talking about Amnesty. He is more focused on border control, more so than the Gang of 8.

These are Rand's exact words:

“I didn’t use the word citizenship at all this morning,” he said. “Basically what I want to do is to expand the worker visa program, have border security and then as far as how people become citizens, there already is a process for how people become citizens.”

Paul said the “main difference is I wouldn’t have people be forced to go home.”

“You’d just get in line. But you get in the same line everyone is in,” he said.
Here is where Rand Paul goes wrong. Why should we expand the worker visa programs when we have 23 million Americans out of work? So basically he wants illegal immigrants to be able to remain here and not be deported. The line for legal immigration forms in the immigrants homeland not within our borders. If allowed to remain here they will have a separate line for themselves withiin our borders and that isn't how it does or should work.

This at the beginning of the article YOU linked.
Paul's path to citizenship would come with conditions that could make it long and difficult for illegal immigrants. Chief among these, Congress would have to agree first that progress was being made on border security.
That's selling out? pfffftt

And because you're a Jedi you can make it happen by just saying so?
Many come here for entitlements, those are the ones that need to be stopped.

I'd like to see proof of this nearly impossible for them to become citizens.

yet allow them to stay and work for wages that they voluntarily accept. But thanks for looking after the illegals well being. Wouldn't want people to make their own choices on where to work and for how much.
NOT reporting income, fake SSN's, fraud in other areas; those are felonies. Sheesh!

people have this idea that america is a nation.

it is not a nation, it is a corporation that masks itself as a nation-state.

the business of america is business. Vastly increased Immigration (legal and illegal) has too many beneficiaries to the wealthy and capital-owning class. Growth is more important than any other metric and the wages of the citizenry are considered an annoying cost of doing business.

When you start thinking about it in these terms you quickly realize why even on the R side they are queuing up for 'comprehensive immigration' even when it is politically suicidal. The donor base (on both sides) has a vested interest in for increased immigration no matter what.

It isn't just about cheap, illegal labor though. Both parties are also pandering to ethnocentric Hispanics for votes to remain in power.

This guy sux. He's just another Neocon who did hiss little anti-drone rant in order to propel his political career. I suspected such at the time.

^ Everybody in the U.S. needs to understand this. Unfortunately, too many people are distracted by their televised sports games or their singing shows and could not care less that Western Civilization is collapsing. The elites have insulated themselves by purchasing properties in isolated areas that will serve as their bug-out strongholds, whilst the rest of us are just expected to live in a Mad Max type environment when the USD finally collapses and becomes absolutely worthless.

I was watching an interview with Paul Rand today on tv. Never once was he asked how it is feasible to allow millions of illegal immigrants to remain in our country with 23 Americans out of work. This is true of every politician regardless of party affiliation. That question is never posed to them. Why is that?

Not reporting income??? Fake SSNs? oh no the horror. Technically you are correct. There are different types of felonies along with having victims and being victimless.
I can't think of any crime related to the actual act of them being here that matters. Tax wise they are not making enough to pay which is what matters. And how much assistance do you think the illegals would be receiving if they were citizens?

All types of people commit fraud and crime, if anything the illegals are preyed upon since the perps know there is little chance it will be reported. Violent crimes, sure toss them out. It would be cheaper to deport than throw in jail.

Well yes and no. I believe Homeland Security compared it to the amount IF entitlements were still given out.

So, you consider it no big deal for illegals to be using fake or stolen ID's which are felonies even though there are victims involved? How about the stolen jobs and higher taxes covering their social costs? No big deal either? Really?

Once they are citzens yes they can tap into our welfare coffers even more than they do now. Through their anchor babies they are already able to tap into them in many ways.

Yes, we have enough of our own home grown citizens criminals. We certainly don't need to add illegals to the mix.
