African American Leaders Band Together to Oppose Senate Immigration Bill By African American Leadership Council (2013, health care)

On Wednesday morning, April 24 at 9am, the African American Leadership Council will host a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, to oppose the Senate Gang of Eight's 844-page plus, immigration bill....Many black leaders have recognized the harm caused by large increases in immigration as the Senate bill entails. As the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights recently reported, illegal immigration to the United States in recent decades has "depress[ed] both wages and employment rates for low-skilled American citizens, a disproportionate number of whom are black men."

Its about time they start waking up to the affects its having on them & the country.

Well -- for the illegals of course living on government handouts and having many children they can never afford on their own is a better life. It beats working for a living, and working to improve their own countries. They are perfectly happy to take the lowest wages because they know they'll also be given food stamps, free housing and free health care. They are a people who do not mind living off the handouts even if they also work.

Wages would rise if the illegals weren't coming in such large numbers. The illegals very often stop working after they start giving birth here which is why their employers need to keep bringing more in.

The better life argument is more like cinderella, just like Jobs Americans won't do.

Also, if you google search this group, It seems to have not been in existence until about 4 weeks ago. They have been around longer, but the point is that they do nothing, have no membership and seem to only be in D.C. and no where else.
