Up is down and down is up. But don't think there is going to be a better place than the USA to relocate. In another country, the dog would most likely be slaughtered and eaten, sorry to be gross.

So now we have to do the protecting of our dogs, not vice verse. We are truly captives in our own country.

Lilypad - I'm going to hazard a guess and say there are far fewer nations in the world who slaughter and eat dogs than those who do. Like wise, there are societies that trump the US when it comes to concern for your fellow human being and adherence to the rule of law, we must get beyond this mentality that we are the "best at everything" or we will never be able to view our nation with a critical eye focused on positive change. I mean for god sake, as rich as this country is, every citizen doesn't have access to proper health care??? Technology wise, there are people living on farms in China getting free wireless access, but we can't manage to set it up for a major metropolitan area here in the states? We are slipping...

that is precisely the problem. Unless we admit that there are problems, they will never get fixed. Lving in denial is not going to solve anything. We need to demand more of our elected officials and insist on results, not just empty promises.

The dog does not deserve to die for what he did. he only protected his "pack-member" and there hadn't been any prior incidents, as far as I know.

Are charges being brought on the illegal for animal cruelty? he hit the dog with a rake, the dog at this time had not bite him so it seems there would be charges would be on the illegal also.

we shouldnt be punishing a whole group of people for the actions of a few. we dont do that in this country. we have due process for everyone that commits a crime in US jurisdiction. or we're supposed to.

if you want to limit crime, why not cap our reproduction rate, like they do in china? if we limited the amount of kids people had, we'd have less criminals. you seem to want to agree with that idea since it is the exact same logic.

...wealth? We have a failing social services infrastructure, our school systems are crumbling, last time I checked lots of families are ending up homeless due to a dying economy and a busted housing market...this wealth you speak of is enjoyed by a scant few, the reast of us work-a-day wage slaves are making ends meet by shear will - yet your "effective government" is getting ready to ship $50 billion more over to fund that tragic comedy in Iraq. Please, this drug you imbibe, share it with the rest of us because you clearly live in a fantasy world.
we are projected to be spending over 1.5 TRILLION on this war. there goes our wealth. its not my fault our moron president that the people voted in is squandering it all and putting us in this mess. with that money, we couldve easily provided universal health care, free college education, and been able to accommodate the immigrant influx. but just like before, people promoted their ideology endlessly, and the opinions of the masses turned out to be self-destructive. this situation is no different.

MOD CUT

the only real arguments you guys have is that: 1. their immigration technique is "illegal".. and 2. some of them are criminals (and you expect any immigrant base or citizen base for that matter, to not be partially criminal?)..

the language, the culture, all encouraged (or at least not DIScouraged) by american ideals, and their overall "drain" on our economy is minute, obviously. sure, they bring more competition on the bottom end of jobs, but that will only affect the unskilled and uneducated. real wages and costs are influenced by our government moreso than immigrants. thats why we have minimum wage.

your whole idea of nitpicking bad articles that happen to have an illegal immigrant in a bad light in not an accurate representation of the populace as a whole. id say theyre doing pretty well considering you all claim most "americans" hate their guts, for no good reason.

this is REALLY upsetting. a dog does its job by protecting its owners from scum which happens to be an illegal and he'll get put to sleep. The owner warned the illegal (even in that stupid illegal's language.) That illegal operated at his own risk once he got the warning.

Also if that illegal had grabbed my wife, he would have been getting a payout from my insurance b/c i tore his illegal behind apart piece by piece. if he even lived to recieve the payout.

dont get mad at the dog b/c he followed his instinct by protecting his owner. and that illegal needs to be charged with animal crulety.
