"Puerto Rican" Congressman from Chicago, Illinois that acts like he is the Congressman from Mexico or Guatemala. Why do his constituents keep electing this clown? Why arent they upset that he seemingly cares more about Mexicans and Salvadorans?

Several years ago Gutierrez gave a speech in Puerto Rico where he was booed off the stage and called a sellout. I know people in Puerto Rico who will spit at the mere mention of his name, he is widely despised. Many Puerto Ricans I know are disgusted that he is more interested in helping foreigners than his fellow Americans from Puerto Rico. They feel that he hurts Puerto Rico's image and presents them in a negative light. My sources also inform me that when he lived in Puerto Rico he belonged to an extreme far left openly socialist, pro-independence group called MINH.

Why is he even allowed to be a congressman if he clearly has no love for the United States? Most Democrats, although they may have a different vision for the nation, are not expressly anti-American.

He doesn't care about what Puerto Rico thinks because it's Chicago that sends him back to DC.

It may be due to the ethnic composition in his district why he continues to get elected.

Why can't he care about all people?

Why do you think he has to just concentrate on Puerto Ricans?

He doesn't even care about PRs. He ONLY dwells on the one issue of illegals. We have a similar type politician named State Sen Gil Cedillo. We call him "One Bill Gil" because he only sponsored one bill which was for immigration.

Immigration is the hot-topic in their local, so it sort of makes sense... I think.

These guys aren't representing PR. (I think Gil is Mexican tho but anyways...)

Luis Gutiérrez is disgusting. The way he acts, he's not Puerto Rican to me. I also just found out that really strangely drawn district in Illinois is his district. The northern half is Puerto Rican, while the southern half is Mexican.

Cedillo was termed out in 2012 and ran for and was elected to a seat on the LA City council in 2013. One Bill Gil was a tireless worker for legalizing drivers licences for illegals during his years in the assembly and state senate. He remains a powerful player in the pro illegals faction, and almost surely he and Gutierrez know each other and work together.

Little Luis is a disgrace to his office ! He has been part of several illegal protests and sit-ins over the years and has even been arrested for doing this but has never spent 10 minutes in jail not will you find them in his records. All while being an elected official. Only an ethnic could get away with that. Of course, here in IL. you'd be hard pressed to find a honest politician anyway.
