Tax Returns Rise for Immigrants in U.S. Illegally

Quote:
Mark W. Everson, the commissioner of the I.R.S., said recently. “We want your money whether you are here legally or not and whether you earned it legally or not.”

One client, she said, was a Mexican man who lugged in a suitcase holding $14,000, cash he had set aside to pay his taxes over six years of work as a landscaper. Like many, he had only recently learned that he could file a legitimate tax return, said Ms. Borthayre, who is the author of several books on tax preparation with ITINs.

All part of that assimilation process everyone keeps saying they want.

ITIN is Fed only, what about state? And the numbers is nowhere near enough to actually put a dent in the costs they owe.

Now if we can get them to learn they are ILLEGAL and have no business here and that they need to get out. All will be well

And illegal drug dealers are also fair game for the IRS.

So I guess we citizens should all avoid paying taxes for six years? Gee, I wonder how that would work.

I read the article NY times, they said they were doing it for the Amnesty!!!! And one woman, paid three thousand for a year in taxes and got 2000 back, not much put in. One guy said he didn't believe he had been doing anything wrong. Hence the issue.

They have to commit fraud in order to pay taxes. Either they make up a social security number of steal someone else's. So, what's so great about it, if they pay taxes?

Pretty much how income taxes work, right?

You file your taxes and if you don't make much, you get a refund.

Nothing strange about that.....
