Technically, without legal status, if Pacheco were to leave the US she wouldn't be allowed to return. But she could get something called "advance parole," which is basically an official promise from the federal government. If someone is traveling for a particular purpose — a semester abroad, a business trip, an ailing or dead relative — "advance parole" says they'll be let back into the US when they come back. Advance parole isn't something people apply for all that often, especially for professional reasons, but it's well established (for people who are waiting for their green-card applications to be processed, for example).
Just another illegal alien sob story and I am sick of reading them. Instead of giving speeches encouraging other foreigners not to break the law by coming here illegally she fights for them to have special rights such as scholarships, etc. in our country. They simply have no moral compasses.
We're supposed to feel sorry for her? No way! If she had gotten a foreign student visa (which is the right thing to do) she wouldn't be in this situation.
It's disgusting that members of congress want to help her! They seem to have forgotten that they don't work for illegal aliens.

Gaby: please quite complaining, Ok? MOST countries would've locked your butt up THEN deported you with NONE of this "advance parole" bit. Sheesh!
Exactly.
In what other country do you see people who are there illegally making demands and getting indignant? Just as when I saw a group of illegals marching in Washington with signs that read "ENOUGH!," the audacity makes my blood boil. ENOUGH? Huh?

Enough indeed. I've had enough. Let's deport ALL of them.

Maybe if they stop getting our tax money, they'll realize whose side they need to be on.

They don't work for illegals aliens? Well, that's news! They sure don't work against them.
Many play by the rules every years; just a excuse for illegal entry .
