Proving that those that say that immigration is not a big issue for Americans have no idea what they post about and only seem to get their little reports from pro-illegal places.
The people they interviewed had different views on the issue. Not all of them want deportation like you guys. Senator Martinez and the Popular Gov. Christ both endorsed McCain yesterday. If McCain wins on tuesday, it's over for Mitt Flopney.

But Semenza, a retired school teacher, speaks for many when he shrugs and says, "You're stuck between a rock and a hard spot" on immigration. That's because some illegal immigrants do jobs current U.S. citizens might not want to do. But they're here -- all 12 million of them -- already, so the issue for presidential candidates is twofold: what to do with them, and what to about those who'd like to come next

John Tucci, a 71-year-old retired engineer, has a different take.
"Who do you think built our houses?" asks the resident of The Villages retirement community. While Tucci agrees with most of the candidates that U.S. borders must be controlled, he argues that the economy would suffer without immigrants.
"How are you going to replace those workers?" he says
Americans will do any job for fair pay, thats how we will replace those workers. The question is how are Amercans going to feed their families competing against slaves for jobs

Actually; said 'slaves' ain't---------methinks that few, if any employers who hire illegals will attempt to go after them if said illegals bug out.
Although; where there is an issue of de facto slavery is sex trafficking of foreign girls/women of any race here in the USA..........
If immigration is such a big issue in Florida, why is McCain ahead in the polls?
Because they are fooled by his promise to secure the borders. Most people are sheep and are willing to believe the LIES that politicians tell them to get elected.
It will be interesting to see where the Cuban-American vote goes. Obama's vow to meet with Castro and other dictators won't sit well with them. Wonder what Republican will strike their fancy? This is a moneyed, pretty powerful group.

The 'Cuban' cohort tend to vote Republican as it is.

Yep, they do. But doubtful they'd support McCain because of his immigration stance or Romney because of his healthcare mandate (Cubans are business owners). Ron Paul maybe?
