The feds need to shut down that place -- they're knowingly harboring lawbreakers. This isn't Europe with its history of providing sanctuary. But the FIRST thing they need to do is yank this church's tax exempt status for interfering with the law. Someone call the IRS!

Bravo! This is exactly what I was thinking. Strip that church of it's tax exempt status pronto! Enough is enough.......
Giving refuse or harbor an illegal is a FELONY by Federal Law!
Actually "giving refuse" is LITTERING. Giving refuge IS legally a crime. However, Churches often symbolically get into a situation like this, willing to 'stick their necks out" to make a stand on a moral issue. Harboring illegals is looked at as a humanitarian gesture.
Actually, quite recently, SOME churches have 'harbored' people a WHOLE LOT worse than illegals. But MOST churches do feel bound to 'answer to a higher authority'. Recall that Dr. Martin Luther King was willing to allow himself to be hauled off to jail for 'sticking to his principles' (and in HIS case, the authorities were only too happy to comply with his wishes. Who knows, some day maybe the "feds" WILL arrest a priest or a pastor for "harboring". It COULD easily happen)...
