I bought a project car last Sunday and I was out and about today looking for parts at the 'Pick-A-Part' type wrecking yards here in the Phx area.

Guess what: almost everywhere there are 'Help Wanted' signs offering 'high wages', etc.------and, said signs are in English.

Yes; we will have a recession in Arizona but with the illegal immigrants being chased out, many of our unemployed citizens/green card holders now have a chance of getting work

I hope more and more local and state jurisdications start cracking down instead of just relying on the feds. For local/state it is an economic development, jobs creation, and quality of life inititive - not an immigration issue... I hope more go for cracking down and enforcing existing laws that they have control over.

I went to a chinese restaurant that said "Se solicita lavamanos", or dishwashers wanted. In Spanish, not English.

that is understandable, seeing that you live in California....A State that has not yet followed the lead of AZ and OK.

My boss is from Oklahoma. His friends have e-mailed him telling him they can see the illegals packing up and leaving by the carloads. He told me 24 other states were seriously considering the same law. We can only hope!! It won't stop until the exploiters are stopped.

Definitely a GOOD THING as far as I'm concerned, ArizonaBear.

This should be an automatic federal law because some states love their illegals and will protect them and screw over the rightful citizens.

This is such good news, I hope it spreads real fast to the east coast.

Dishwashers are hard to find because the work is hard and does not pay worth a flip. Besides most Chinese restaraunts only hire family or Chinese immigrants. Believe it or not the last two Mexican restaurants I went to I noticed most of the staff were anglo. Both were Mexican American owned. Hooray for Entrepreneurship and employee diversity.
