A simple "yes" or "no" will do. I'm not asking anything beyond this question so going off on tangents like what to do with the people that are already here is "off topic".

Yes, because I live in a gated community and don't need to worry about the negative consequences of open borders. I'm a very apathetic individual and who cares if someone dies by the hands of an illegal immigrant?

No America should not have open borders, could have been a good topic to discuss but you seem to just want a yes or no.

I think it's been talked about Ad Nauseam and unfortunately, rather than answer a simple question, people always have to go off on tangents and do everything they can to avoid answering it. Regardless of all the spin, it really does come down to a simple question.

I have a fence around my back yard. That's the least we could have around our country.

It took me a minute to get it, but it does make sense to remove all the "fluff" and just look at it "naked", let everyone in that wants to come in, yes or no? That question has not been asked before that I know of.

Open means open, totally open, even more so than the leaking that happens now.

We have enough problems without allowing the world to flood us with theirs too. Close the borders and stop sending foreign aid while we are at it. Maybe if our closest neighbor didn't have such violent criminals running free it would be a different story; I am talking about the cartels specifically but I know the left will twist those words and turn me into a racist.

We do not have 'open borders' now, and if you start screening every tourist 'thoroughly' then we'd pretty much shut down a very large portion of the economy. 100 million tourists visit the US every year.

It is the only way to get to the meat and potatoes of the issue. All the demagouging is simply noise to distract from the actual conversation that needs to take place. With that, you will still have people that will refuse to answer what is a very simple question. We may all have different ways to approach the problem beyond the security concerns, but the poll results show me that the majority can at least agree on the fundamental premise.
