NEW YORK (AP) — Immigrants who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children, but were protected from deportation by President Barrack Obama, are being warned by some advocates to make sure they are not traveling abroad when Donald Trump is sworn in as president on Jan. 20.
Some advocates, lawyers and universities are concerned that Trump might immediately rescind an Obama program that had allowed these young immigrants to work and travel for humanitarian, educational or employment purposes.
That could lead, they fear, to some people traveling abroad being barred from re-entering the U.S.

What's the problem here? So; some people illegally in the US NEED to stay home where their kind are 100 percent "legal" if kept out of here.
How can they travel abroad without a passport? Every foreign country I've ever been to, I've had to show my passport and any required visas at Immigration and Customs before I was allowed to enter the country.
Nah, not a fake news story. Dreamers have to get permission to travel abroad, and it can only be for humanitarian, employment or educational purposes. There is a procedure where they have to get an advance parole document issued by the USCIS which grants the holder of this document permission to travel abroad and to return to America, even if the person does not hold a valid visa. https://www.us-immigration.com/blog/...-circumstances

That's to get back into the U.S. But how do they get into the foreign country without a passport? Remember, they've been in the U.S. illegally since childhood. They're not U.S. citizens and don't have a U.S. passport.

Maybe they each have a special card issued to them by Papa Obama

It doesn't work that way. One must have a passport and sometimes a visa, as well, to enter a foreign country. Checking into a hotel in a foreign country usually requires a passport for ID, as well.
Hell, I've been in foreign countries where I've had to show my passport to exchange $US for local currency, to obtain medical treatment, etc.
