This article is dated February 6, 2017:

Iraqi and Egyptian apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol

This afternoon I sent an email to U.S. Customs and Border Protection seeking confirmation of this report. I got this contact from their official website:

Rob Daniels
CBP Public Affairs Specialist
4740 N. Oracle Road Suite 310
Tucson, AZ. 85705
520-407-2389 office
520-904-2510 cellular
520-407-2352 fax
rob.daniels@dhs.gov

Here is what I wrote:

Good afternoon,

I am writing to inquire about an incident that was widely reported in the media on February 6, 2017. Can you confirm or deny it please?

"U.S. Border Patrol agents from Lordsburg Station apprehended two individuals, one Iraqi national and the other from Egypt, while on patrol Saturday at 2:15 p.m. local time along Arizona State Route 80"

This is allegedly a direct quote from your agency.

I saw no mention of this incident on your website under "Media Releases." Was I looking in the wrong place?

Thank you.

He emailed me back within 15 minutes. Here was his response:

This is the second time I have been asked about this. I do not know anything about it. Rob

Rob simply said he didn't know anything it. He didn't say "it didn't happen". Two very different things. Keep grasping at straws....

Straws are all they have. Just because someone doesn't know about it or chooses not to confirm it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. It is very believable since ANYONE can cross the border for ANY reason. Whether this is true or not, it could be. WALL!

How about you actually post up a copy of the email exchange you had with Bob? Then we can email Bob and see if you're full of chit or not.

I have no idea if it's true the guy who reported it to Breitbart posted an email claiming it 'proves' he was telling the truth. I'm not interested enough to find out whether the email is fake or not:

Default UPDATE: maybe it's true. Still not totally convinced.

I think it's odd that the guy from Tuscon didn't know about it, in light of this email I just received (from the El Paso contact), and considering that he said he was asked about it once already.

Who's Bob?

You mean Rob?

I did post the email exchange I had with him. That's all it was. I asked a question. He answered it.

First off, I feel it was improper for OP to post the email exchange and the thread has been forwarded to the agency for their review.

OP did not interpret what was being said by the agent correctly failing to substantiate the thread title.

It has been obvious for some time that liberals have a hard time telling the difference between a lie and the truth!

I've been concerned about the media publishing misleading stories for some time now (ISIS training camps at the TX/MX border, for example). There have been so many lies about border concerns that it's hard to keep up. I am not a journalist. I am a concerned citizen.

I make an effort to get to the bottom of things by going to the source.

I was not mistrusting the Border Patrol, I was questioning Breitbart.

Bottom line is that the thread title could very well be the lie.

As I said, anyone can come through the border, this could be true. 40 Egyptian or 400 or 4,000 Egyptians or Iraqis could come through.

The Wall is the answer. End the question as to who is coming in whether it be illegal alien coming to commit additional crimes in addition to having committed a crime entering the US without authorization, have anchor babies to support the family or terrorists. Whatever is coming in illegally needs to be stopped.
