Quote:
A group of community activists marched through downtown Phoenix, using Good Friday to spread a message of their own.

The demonstration, called the "Via Crucis," or "Way of the Cross," was a re-enactment of Jesus' journey to death on the cross from the perspective of the immigrant, whose plight carries him through the streets of Phoenix and ends at the State Capitol, said Jorge Mendez, who organized the event.
Arizona Republic article (broken link)

The nerve of those protesters astounds me-------talk about a 'you owe me' attitude.

Let then try that stunt in Mexico; I suspect the Mx police would have a field day, shall we say-------much like the 'redneck' cops of 50 years ago in the old Jim Crow South again Blacks who happened to be US citizens

Those protesters do not have a clue about how good they have/had it here in the USA evidently.

From the article...

Quote:
Mendez, an assistant lawyer with a master's degree in theology, said the group had two central objectives in making the demonstration: to put on the table a moratorium on the immigration raids being made by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, and to terminate anti-immigration laws.
It looks to me like Christ had NOTHING to do with it...

I, too got that impression-------that 'Jesus Christ Our Lord' was being used as a smokescreen for the illegals and their enablers to further their immoral cause.

I dont agree with the subliminal message yet I do agree with the carrying of the cross in commemoration.

At least we still have a few "christians" in this ole country..........

Way not round them up and check legal status while you've got a group of protesters like that in one place. Those that are illegal should be detained, checked out for any other crimes, then put on a bus and sent back to Mexico or where ever else they are from.

What they showed tonight on the news was religious and a re enactment, nothing more nothing less. But it was quite beautiful.

The Lord doesn't take sides. Especially the side of some who's already committed at least one crime.

Religion is just being used.
