We could build a giant wall and man it with snipers and landmines like Israel plus every American could carry an ID card around their neck 24 hours a day and submit to random police screenings that is the only way we could solve the situation by quote "chasing the Flies"
Do you believe that there was a illegal labor force presence in this country hanging around and patronizing employers for jobs before employers began giving the jobs to them?

I find the negative attitudes about America can't (fill in the blank) not only a defeatists attitude but downright INSULTING our country and our people.
We beat the biggest and best military IN THE WORLD to break free form England create our country.
We were the 1st country to put a man on the moon.
We beat Germany in WWI and beat Germany AND Japan in WWII even though we started WAY behind both of them in having military equipment etc.
You should read some of the books on what it took to get ready for D-DAY. The amount of equipment and manpower used will blow your mind.
We became the LARGEST industrial nation in the world.
Looking at the G-7 we have a LARGER GDP then ALL of the others COMBINED.
We became the BEST country in the world even though we stared centuries behind all the others.
With ALL we have accomplished in our countries short lifetime, some feel we CANNOT handle our ILLEGAL immigration problem.

In the early 80's my employer fired the entire landscape crew and replaced them with a bus load of Mexicans brought to the US by a labor contractor. The company laughed about how easy it was. The labor contractor does all the dirty work and takes all the risk and the employer benefits from having a cheap work force which never complains, shows up late or asks for a pay raise. If the contractor got busted they would negotiate a fine, shut down their operation and reopen under a different name.
ICE goes after low hanging fruit, it's easy to catch a few hundred undocumented people and lock them up, most of them pose no threat to ICE agents and don't even put up a fight. ICE claims to be going after businesses but it's just a big joke, they never go after the biggest employers of illegals - the meat and poultry processors because Perdue, Armor, Cargill and Tyson are too big to mess with.
People come across our southern border so that they can support their family, that is an entirely rational decision . American citizens would be heading to Canada if wages were 10x what they are here.

It's obvious that the logistics of enforcement escapes some people, I understand your anger and I understand how effective propaganda has been on some people, check out the Supreme Court decision on citizens united where we have enshrined the ability of Corporations to give politicians money based on Free Speech and then go park outside of your local meat packing plant and count the number of illegal aliens that go in and out of that big corporations facility and then ask yourself why the local police don't set up shop there and demand green cards and prosecute that Corporation for violating our country's law ...

Babies born here ARE US CITIZENS whether you like it or not - so it is absurd to add those children into any figure that tries to ascribe societal costs to illegals. Big corporations bribe the crap out of anyone with any authority in their radar...we diddent have this problem 20 years ago but its been growing and growing for decades. Propaganda masters like Donald Trump distract you by going after the illegal aliens with dramatic police raids but don't shut these factories down or hit them with big fines to teach corporations a lesson...it takes 5 minutes to replace your illegal Workforce.

That's just silly and I'm sure you know it. Someone applies for a job and can't speak 10 words of english but they show you a fake ID saying they are a citizen? That wouldn't fool a 10 year old. It's just that it works out so well for employers that no one has the guts to let them know the game is over. You prosecute employers who hire them and you will stop probably 80-90% of illegal immigration.
Yep, if ICE arrested and detained the CEO of Tyson, and prosecuted him, do you know how fast those illegals would be kicked out of the processing plants ?

No, there is absolutely NO protection for people who can't speak English why would you think there is? If an employee doesn't speak English do you think the employer is required to hire a translator to walk around with them all day so that they can interact with English speakers
What I said was they can and have filed lawsuits (and won) against employers who did not hire them even though they were her illegally. They have filed and won lawsuits for being fired after employers found out they were illegal. I did not say anything about language but legal status.
The courts do offer some protection.
I understand your frustration, dont blame the people, blame the corporate agenda. Do you run around swatting flies or cover your food at the bbq. Stopping people from sneaking in the country for an opportunity is near unenforceable and will cost billions of dollars and damage our social fabric...stopping the corporate agenda is easy and simple you just have to have the balls to do it by identifying the corporate interests that hire these people. You can get rid of termites by burning down your house but it's not a good idea, there's a lot of ways to solve the problem pick the smart one. You will never be able to stop people from seeking opportunities it's kind of like the drug war completely unenforceable but very very fundable...that's the problem, they want your tax money to chase flies at the barbecue if you're dumb enough to pay them they'll be happy to chase the Flies. Meanwhile the Fat Cats sit back and bribe politicians to blame the illegals to distract the victems (americans) and count their profit while laughing all the way to the bank.
Oh, I can blame "the people". Because one of two things happens when an illegal works. They either get paid under the table and therefore pay zero income tax. OR they steal someone's identity to appear legal to an employer.
They, along with the employers that knowingly hire illegals, are criminals. Period.
