Game the system? These people could cross at a number of places and enter illegally and remain undetected for a long time, it seems to me like they are trying to follow the rules that we have set out for asylum seekers. Trump is not allowing them through ports of entry don't you even watch the news? Asylum law still allows them to go between ports of entry but that subjects them to arrest for a misdemeanor and that is the excuse that DHS is using to separate the kids from their families.
There are now over 70 kids a day being separated from their parents so please don't try to brush this off like it's no big deal, it is.
Now that the word is out there, I hope that it spreads to people trying to cross. If you enter here illegally, you will be putting your children at risk of being separated from you. Your call people.
Until their parents get deported back to Mexico, your children will be housed and cared for free in a great environment courtesy of the American taxpayers. But be sure to blame us for all your problems and while there, don't forget to call us heartless racists.

Yours Truly,
A taxpayer who respects the law.
You think tents set up in an open field in 110 degree temperatures are a "great environment"?? Fine, go check 'em out in Tornillo, Texas and ask some of the youngsters housed there how they feel about it.
BTW, the vast majority of those seeking asylum are not from Mexico. They are from Guatemala and El Salvador.

Unbiased research is your friend.
You mean these air-conditioned tents with clean beds, food? I see a lot of older kids. Thank you tax payers of america.
Guatemala, el Salvador, Columbia, does it matter? Will they break the laws differently? Should we adjust the laws because of the country? I didn't mention any country at all. Laws are laws whether you like it or not you break it, you pay for it.
Facts don't care about your feelings.
