An EB-5 is a visa which basically allows you to obtain a 'green card' by literally giving the U.S. government $500,000. It's obviously a bit more involved than that, but that's it in a nutshell !

Our immigration solicitor has advised us that this is our best way in (we feel, as many others do, that the U.K. is now not the place for us ) and we don't really qualify for any other visa. So this seems like the obvious answer.
If you've got the money then why not? Word of warning though - be exceedingly wary of agencies who claim to help you to get visas (e.g. of the type in the link you posted). I can't speak personally for this particular agency - nor would I want to on a public forum - I just know there are many stories across various forums of those who have felt ripped off by agencies they have used.
If you need help with your, go to a qualified immigration attorney. Try the British Expats website for recommendations.
You got a lot of misinformation on this blog. The EB-5 program is
a Green Card through investment one. It was created to promote investments in businesses and to create and preserve jobs in the U.S. You can become a lawful permanent resident by establishing a new commercial enterprise and provide full-time employment to at least ten U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, or other immigrants with employment authorization.
