Separating kids from their parents, because their parents did nothing more than, say, trying to find a way to support their kids? Guest worker reform makes more sense. FACT: FEW, if any, Americans would do stoop labor in the fields (picking vegetables, janitorial work, and so forth). he immigrants (the ones from Mexico and Central America, at least) are simply filling jobs most Americans simply will not take.

In Alabama and Georgia millions of dollars of produce rotted in the fields due to harsh measures taken against illegal immigrants - sure didn't help the farmers there. Also, lots of other countries bring in immigrants to work their harvest. Some even outstay their visa. Yet THEY don't implement harsh policies like we do. If Trump (a very smart man who graduated from Wharton and has the best words, according to himself) were half as smart as he though he was, he'd know all this and work to loosen immigration restrictions on at least low-level workers. BTW, they commit crimes at a lower rate than US-born people (I wonder why?).

Also, one protest sign in the link was very interesting - in the slideshow of photos of the protest

"My father was an illegal immigrant but no one cares b/c I'm white. This is not an immigration problem. It's racists in power"
