Spoiler
Your Ruling Now ... Enforce It *****HOLE!

Quote:
A federal judge on Friday said the government must restart the entire DACA deportation amnesty, including accepting brand new applications — but gave the administration a chance to appeal before his ruling takes effect.

The ruling by Judge John D. Bates is a major blow to President Trump, and creates even more confusion about his immigration policy.

Judge Bates said Mr. Trump and his Homeland Security Department do have the power to revoke the Obama-era DACA program, but they cut too many corners in the way they tried to do it.

He said the government needs to prove that it has considered the benefits to society of having illegal immigrants here and working, versus the government’s interest in enforcing the laws as written.

He said Homeland Security failed to do that in its original revocation last September, and even after he gave it a chance to update its reasoning, it still failed to convince him.

This is the quintessential definition of an activist judge who should be given a one way ticket to the unemployment line.

How is a ruling that validates Trump's disdain for select judges "a major blow". This should be overturned via SCOTUS with no issues.

Let me get this straight.

A U.S. judge, who presides over a U.S. court, is demanding that the U.S. President violate U.S. law, and consider whether society would be better off if he keeps violating it?

And if society would be better off somehow, then he is ordering the U.S. President to keep violating U.S. law on a permanent basis???

Now I've heard it all.

What part of "illegal alien" does this judge not understand?

You know, Al Capone violated lots of laws. Starting with a Constitutional amendment forbidding liquor, and then spreading into smuggling, assault, and wholesale murder etc. But he also gave some of the proceeds from his crimes, to poor people. And of course, people who wanted to have some wine at dinner, or a beer after work, found themselves more able to do it because of Capone's smuggling.

Would this U.S. judge have ordered the U.S. Government to stop prosecuting Capone, and let him walk, if there was a chance that Capone helped more people than he hurt?

Would the people back in Capone's time in the early 1930s thank this judge for his attitude and decisions? Or would they have thrown him into the deepest looney bin they could find and nail the lid shut?

This! We finally have a supreme court that has rational beings on the bench, and so is the time to strike down ridiculous rulings and laws that do not benefit the USA as a whole.

These federal judges are un-elected and yet have the power to overrule our administration? Something is very wrong here. Especially since this judge is demanding we reinstate an executive order that was never voted on, and rewards breaking the law. Sickening!

One blessing with these nationwide injunctions is that all is takes is another district judge to order the program stopped by this ruling to be halted. When two orders conflict, the administration must go with the more restrictive order. I'm not familiar with whether there are any other cases working their way through other courts. I think perhaps one court in Texas, but I'm not sure.

I don't get it. DACA was never meant to be permanent. It was given an expiration date when President Obama used an Executive Order to put it in place. Deferred means pushing it down the road on a temporary basis. It sounds like DACA must be opened to new "members." How utterly ridiculous: This ruling flies in the face of our immigration laws and policies already on the books. (Surprised it wasn't the Ninth Circuit.)

I guess until the borders are opened to everyone, these rulings against Trump will continue. Too bad the hatred is blinding the left to what is good for this country. Perhaps Americans moving to Mexico may be the solution, since the country will be rid of a lot of its riff-raff (cartels included) once those folks move into the United States.

Mexico is a beautiful country. It's such a shame Mexico is overrun by corruption. There were close to 50,000 murders in 2016 (majority drug-related), making it the highest crime rate in the world. I hope the new Presidente can rein in the bad hombres for the sake of the Mexican citizens, making the US less desirable for illegal aliens. (Of course, Mexico would need to provide benefits in line with those of our country since that makes the US the destination of choice.)

Trump really needs to play the videos of both Clintons, Obama, Bush, et al. re their anti-illegal alien stance every time he talks about our immigration "problem."

Whatever happened to separation of powers? The judge is not the President.
