How do you feel about the democratic socialist position on dealing with illegal immigration?

Socialism versus capitalism. As far as I am concerned, my now former party has hit new lows. What happened to a centrist (i.e., reasonable) position? This Medicare-for-all (including illegals) and free college tuition for everyone with a pulse absolutely undercuts everything those of us who have worked hard for: employer-paid health insurance (and Medicare for 65+) and achieving scholastic success in order to qualify for scholarships and/or entrance into the university of our choice.
What the left does not consider is how this will be paid for, since free health insurance would rack up $10 trillion in ten years (and that's on the low end and does not factor in our burgeoning population). In a utopian world, I guess "free" is what we all want, but in reality, cannot be achieved without harming our country even more and digging us deeper into debt.
Somewhere personal responsibility needs to kick in because no one owes us anything, although more and more illegals expect (and get) benefits to which they are not entitled in a reasonable world.
They are right "the problem with our economy is not immigration..." It is ILLEGAL immigration.
Legal immigrants have been the bedrock on which this country is built and they continue to bring diversity and the American can do spirit to their adopted country. My wife is one of them, she loves her native land and we go back often to visit but she loves America more.
When the first act of an ILLEGAL immigrant is to violate our most basic laws then what is going to stop them from breaking more out of desperation as they continue to trespass?
The Democrat Socialist answer is to let them all in and as long as they have a dream to vote for Democrats they will figure out the rest later.
