I can't disagree with anything she said. This however is not the mainstream democratic party (of which she is a member) view today.

Now it's basically a free for all, come if you like, we'll take care of you. Anyone who tries to enforce border immigration laws is either racist and evil or at the very least terribly mean spirited.

Years ago I remember a state politician who switched parties. He said he hadn't changed his views, but his party's views had changed to the extant he couldn't support those views anymore. I gave him credit for standing for what he truly believed in, regardless of whether I could support his views on the issues.

Viewing this video, one is left to wonder if Feinstein's entire democratic party has done a 180 degree turn of their opinion and she's just along for the ride, or if she's always been an outlier from the party line on this issue. Some who know her history could comment on that.

It's not just Feinstein. There are old videos all over the web of Democrats saying the same thing as this old Feinstein video.

What I believe is that the Democrat party just gave up on platform for (and persuasion of) the US citizenry, and made a conscious decision to bring in a whole new voting block.
