María Luisa Cáceres, who said she joined the caravan with her 15-year-old special needs son, told the paper “we are forced to” join the protests even though she did not plan to. Caceres was sleeping in a tent that said “Abolish ICE” and declined an offer of asylum by Mexico.
But she blamed the large number of male migrants who stormed past police at the border for creating a confrontation that led to her being tear gassed.
I suppose she wants the American citizen taxpayers to pay for her “special needs” son.

I would argue that those of you getting all worked up about some people seeking asylum when you know nothing about them, their circumstances, nor if they would meet the eligibility requirements or not. I’m sitting back here with a bowl of popcorn enjoying the show. winning.

Part of it is the magnitude of the numbers coming here all at once. It's not just "some". What were they thinking?
Can you say that you personally know all about them? What we have to go by is them forcing their way into Mexico but then most refusing asylum and jobs there. Also, in the past only 10% of asylum seekers have had a legitimate reason to make that claim and were approved. It's also a fact that most are males in this caravan not women and children. What knowledge do you have to counter all of the above other than making fun of this whole incident with a bowl of popcorn and claiming a win in all of this?

Not when you have to lie about your situation in order to gain it.
They wouldn't be immigrating legally, they would be defrauding this country.
Yes they would be defrauding the taxpayers. What is really crazy is how many taxpayers are willing to look the other way and give these people just what they want even if they are lying about their circumstances.
