[quote=dozerbear;54193101]You're assuming the Mexican government would change the law that says foreigners can't own land within 30 miles of any coastline, except through a bank trust. But that would be the least of the problems.

In 2017, Mexico had a murder rate of 25 per 100,000, and got even worse in the first half of 2018, while the US has a murder rate of 5.3 per 100,000. Do you want to import a murder rate four times higher than it is now?

Our already terrible drug problem would get even worse. Fentanyl seizures from Mexico went from 8 pounds in 2014, to 2,737 in 2018, or enough to kill about 600 million people, along with 7,103 pounds of heroin and 225 pounds of chemicals use to make the drugs. The number of Americans killed by synthetic opioids (like fentanyl) rose 45% in 2017 alone, and deaths from heroin are also up sharply in recent years. Feds Seize Enough Fentanyl in 2018 to Kill Nearly Twice the U.S. Population » The Conservative Speaker

Such a huge influx of unskilled workers would drive wages down, especially for black and hispanic Americans, flood our already overcrowded schools, and bankrupt our welfare system. Open borders would guarantee a quick death for social security, medicare, medicaid, just to name a few.

While not every Mexican or central American would move here, you're forgetting about the 4-5 billion in the rest of the third world. How many of them get to come in?[/QUOTE

Guess who would be blamed for that?

No borders?
The U.S. would collapse.
The number of people
would be massive and
inflated further due to poachers
and profiteers.
Within 5 years we would be overrun
by around 500 million. Easily.
