I speak English, but also foreign languages. Whenever I’m with my family (home, supermarket, mall,etc..) we speak a foreign language (we are trying to raise bilingual children). Speaking a foreign language in public could annoy some people?

Thanks

Absolutely not. Now, if you insisted that the shop keepers speak the same foreign language that you are because you refuse to learn the language of the land (where ever that land may be) then, yes that is annoying.
This goes for predominantly Spanish speakers in the US as well as Americans abroad.

From what I've seen, I'd have to say "Yes, it would annoy some people." Personally, I speak SEVERAL languages, not just two.

Well, it annoys people because they think you are saying something derrogatory and suspicious. It also makes people think you are talking about them, and because you dont know what they are saying....
